At Grupo Coviñas our commitment is to quality and respect for the land, our farmers and the environment. This is done with the aim of making the best wines possible, as our heritage and hallmark, and to nurture the land that is our way of life and livelihood.
We represent over 3,000 farmers under the banner of the cooperative movement and, as such, we stand for fair trade for all members of the cooperative and a fair price for what we produce, as well as the principles of democracy, equality and solidarity as the basis for a successful business model and as a driver of the economy as a whole.
At Coviñas we advocate a model based on the social, economic and environmental wellbeing of the Utiel-Requena area. We see the fostering of our wine culture as being true to our traditions, our land and its people.
Quality is our watchword. We undertake rigorous quality control at every stage of the winemaking process, from tending the vines to bottling, all carried out by a team of highly trained professionals under the supervision of our technical director. This attention to detail underpins the Coviñas Quality Charter, representing our commitment to good practice, to the land and the winegrowers.
To ensure that we achieve our quality undertaking, our advanced laboratories are equipped with the latest and most sophisticated technology, as well as the most modern equipment for tending and caring for our wines and sparkling Cavas. A state-of-the-art labelling and bottling plant also ensures the highest levels of quality control for the wine as it is bottled, not forgetting the separate lines for the specialized tirage and disgorgement of our Cava.
This painstaking attention to detail has enabled us to achieve the most demanding quality standard certification: IFS and BRC.
