ADNOS BOBAL ALTA EXPRESIÓN

The 5.5 hectares of old vines that produce this highly expressive Bobal are to be found in the rural enclaves of “El Matorral” and “El Rubial”. The vines, subjected to a highly stressed winegrowing environment, barely produce 2 kg of grapes per vine. After painstaking traditional winemaking, followed by 24 months’ resting in french and american oak casks, the wine develops a structure and presence that mark it out for a long life.

It is an intense and elegant ruby red in colour, vivid and bright, with flashing violet glints. On the nose, it offers hints of toast with morning coffee, red berries and cherry, with a touch of mint to go with the whipped cream and sprinkled chocolate that are also in there. In the mouth, it is the elegant, burnished and fully integrated tannins that lure us, along with plenty of fruit, given further depth by the touch of rich and rounded toffee. It is a full-bodied, well-balanced wine, the essence of the bobal grape, while at the same time expressing the landscape it has made its own.
